A 12K trail race at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, celebrating 10 years supporting Montana State Parks

COURSE

The majority of the race runs on single-track trails that are typically dry and clear of snow mid-April, however there has been years with snow and some icy spots. Be prepared for various weather conditions, climbing, sharp turns, and beautiful views.

~2,200 ft.

REGISTRATION

Included with your registration is chip timing, park entry, a custom race shirt plus additional custom item, eligibility for top award prizes, and a post-race hot brunch and drinks to enjoy at the finish line.

PACKET PICKUP

Saturday, April 26 at Bozeman Running Company from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Yes, you may have a friend or family member pick up your packet.

Race morning pick up will begin at the trail at 8:00 AM Sunday.

START / LOCATION

Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park in Whitehall, MT
9:00 AM start time

AID STATIONS

There are 2 aid stations along the course — stocked with water, electrolyte drink and gels. The first aid is located after the first climb, and the second aid is located around mile 4.
All aid stations are cupless.

PARKING

There is a parking lot, where parking directors will guide you to your parking spot. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

SUSTAINABILITY

This is a cupless race and we ask that you help us in keeping the trails clean and free of trash.
Leave No Trace — pack all trash, fuel packets, and wrappers with you.

Purchase a reusable cup with registration, or pick one up in store.

Refunds, deferrals, and transfers are not offered for the Expedition 12K.
